Emmie Taylor joined the S Smith & Co team a year ago, she is now finishing her apprenticeship and moving onto the next Level. She has progressed within the team greatly over the past year, as well as through her studies through McArthur Dean Training.
Emmie has gained great confidence within the team since she first started and we are looking forward to see Emmie to progress onto the next stage! We asked Emmie her thoughts on the first year of her Apprenticeship at S Smith & Co…
How have you found the first year at S Smith & Co?
The first year at S Smith & Co has been challenging but in the best way possible. Going from starting at the very bottom, knowing next to nothing to now working on my own clients and assisting them with any queries they may have. I think it is fair to say that over the past year my confidence has massively increased.
What new skills have you learnt since working at S Smith & Co?
Working at S Smith & Co has developed not only my confidence but how I communicate myself with others. Whether this being over email, face to face or over the phone, I feel as I can communicate myself in a way that is professional as well as getting to know the client personally.
What is your favourite thing about working at S Smith & Co?
My Favourite aspect of S Smith & Co is the fact that we are not just colleagues, we are a little family. Along with the fact that helping clients is our number one priority.
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about starting an apprenticeship?
My advice for someone that is considering an apprenticeship would be to go for it, have an open mind and find something you are interested in then pursue it.
